Bushnell Tour Z6 Jolt Review

Hi I will review the Bushnell Tour Z6 Laser Rangefinder in this post. I have been using this for more than 1 year. Basic Background: This is my first range finder and prior to using this I had never used a range finder. So for people who don't know what this is, it is a device which is used to measure distances. This range finder is a laser rangefinder and works by using a laser. You point this towards an object you want to range (mostly flags in my case) and then press a button. It would send a laser to the target and on the basis of the time taken by the laser tell you how far the object was. In golf you use this to find the distances to the flag and thus it helps you with the club selection. Range finders also have applications in hunting, shooting etc when knowing the distance to the target is beneficial. Since I have not owned any other rangefinder before so I will not be comparing it to any other rangefinder in this review. Features: It is weather proof.

Waterman Expert Deluxe Fountain Pen Review

Image
In this post I will review the Waterman Expert Deluxe Fountain Pen. The one which I have has a fine nib.     Official Product Link of the pen     Flipkart Link from where I bought the pen     Background: I have been using the Waterman Expert for more than 3 years. It is my second waterman pen. Prior to this I had owned the Waterman Phileas and being really satisfied with that I decided to go in for another waterman. This pen also has the fine nib like my Phileas. This was also the most expensive pen in my collection at the time of purchase. In short I had a lot of expectations from this pen even before I had tried it out.      Appearance & Design (1-10)  - 8/10 - An appealing design. I went in for the deluxe version in black colour. It has a metallic cap with chrome finish. It has five horizontal bands and has a sloping top. The clip has a slit in the middle just like any other waterman. You can also find waterman and paris written at the base of the cap in white ove

The Parker Frontier Review

Image
The Parker Frontier is one of the more common fountain pens in Indiawhen you enter the sub premium market. It costs more than the cheaper pens likethe Parker Vector but is not very expensive either selling at around Rs 400($8). Here is my review of this pen.   1.  Appearance & Design   (1-10)   – 7/10   The parker frontier is a very simple looking pen. I have two of these pens, one has a body made out of stainless steel and the other one is also stainless steel but has gold plating at certain places. The two pens are decent to look at with nothing out of the ordinary to catch the eye. The Frontier is cigar shaped and is completely smoothened from all sides;there are no edges in this pen, it is all rounded. The body of the pen like a cigar is thicker from the middle and as you move to the extremities the diameter reduces. The pen has the standard parker clip which is in the form of an arrow with the head of the arrow facing downward. Apart from this arrow shaped c

Lamy Vista

Image
Here is my review of the Lamy Vista. I have two of these pens, one just over a month old and the other several years old. I have reviewed the fine nib. 1. Appearance & Design (1-10) – 8/10  Lamy is one of the famous pen brands for people starting into fountain pens. The Lamy Vista is a transparent pen and it stands out from the regular coloured pens used by most school going kids. When I saw this pen among the Lamy Safaris (which are coloured) I was immediately attracted to it. It is made of plastic but feels very solid. The cap of the pen has a completely round cross-section while the barrel is circular with flat top and bottom making it slightly oval. The gripping section of the pen has two flat indents so that pen can be held comfortably for long periods of time. This however has a slight disadvantage; the indents force you to grip the pen in a particular way. (Picture to be attached of both positions). The end of the gripping section towards the nib is slightly lifted

About the Blog

Initially, I started this blog to review the fountain pens in my collections.  However, now I review anything interesting that I own. The objective is to articulate my views and opinions about my possessions and maybe help people who make informed choices when making their purchases.
